im new to BB and CB! i was wondering how do you stream vids from ex. youtube on ya phone? i have software to dl and convert files but if i just wanted to stream the vid i getta message saying "the protocol specified is not supportedby the handset - please try a different url" i have the pearl 8120 (t-mobile). any help given is greatly appreciated and i thank you ahead of time!

If you have OS 4.3+ on your device, have the APN info entered, the emulation mode in the BB browser options set to BlackBerry, you should have no trouble with youtube.

i dont know what APN is , but if could you put it in laymans terms please id greatly appreciate it?

Options > Advanced > TCP.

APN: wap.voicestream.com. Leave both the user and pass blank. Save the info.

Browser > Menu > Options > General > Emulation Mode:, make sure this is on BlackBerry.

Now go to youtube.com and try to watch a video.

You must still have something not set right.

Go to Options > About. Third line down, what OS version are you running? Are you using the BB browser? Are you sure you have a BB data plan? What browser do you have set as the default? BB browser > Menu > options > Browser config.

i am running os 4.3.0.115. when i talked to T-Mobile they said that the 8120 os (i guess my current 1) doesnt support flash devices which is why i cant stream video. i will upgrade my os to this 4.5 that everyones talking about if it supports flash.

I have 4.5 on my curve and also got a 4 gig sd card, I can finally watch youtube via my berry. Couldn't before the upgrages.. And I go there from the browser, not opera mini..

Whomever you talked to at TMO doesn't know jack. Youtube will stream video content via RTSP. It is supported on devices with OS 4.3 or newer and should be used from the bb browser.

No. Did you check to see what your default browser was set to? if it is set to Tzones, it may not work. Should be set to internet or wifi/hotspot.
