    On my first BB10 App, and it was all going well, bit too well, I asked a friend to test it on his z10 running 10.3.0.1154 and it seems my App is almost zooming itself in really badly, and looking disfigured to my z10 on 10.2.1, see the screenshots:

    Friends z10 on 10.3.0.1154 bold text switched off so should be smaller:

    My z10 running 10.2.1, bold switched on (what it should look ):

    Has anyone seen anything like this before?
    We are both running release builds from the .bar file just to be safe
    The only difference par firmware between our devices is mine is a STL100-2 and his is a STL100-1

    Hi paul, do we know each other on BBM ? If so, can you share some QML code to me and I'll look at it. If not, share it here (if you're comfortable to do so) or invite me pin:2BD8C748

    Here's some code that should work no matter what OS version is installed :
    Container {
    id: mainContainer
    layout: DockLayout {}
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Fill
    verticalAlignment: verticalAlignment.Fill
    Container {
    id: topContainerWithTimeAndDate
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Center
    verticalAlignment: verticalAlignment.Top
    layout: StackLayout {}
    Container {
    id: timeContainer
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Center
    Label {
    ...
    }
    }

    Container {
    id: dateContainer
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Center
    Label {
    ...
    }
    }
    }

    Container {
    id: bottomContainerWithBattery
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Left
    verticalAlignment: verticalAlignment.Bottom
    ...
    }
    Container {
    id: bottomContainerWithNotificationBell
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Right
    verticalAlignment: verticalAlignment.Bottom
    ...
    }
    }

    // UNTESTED, ALL WRITTEN WITH MY BB10 DEVICE

    Hi Rodger,

    I don't use my z10 as my main device I'm afraid, will be switching over from Symbian when 10.3.1 comes along, which means I don't have a sim card in the phone.

    I did it a bit weirdly since I'm not used to Cascades yet (oh how I wish we had proper QML anchors :sigh: )

    I did it this way (this is the alarm indicator, missed the source/visible bits)

    Code:
         Container {
                horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Center
                verticalAlignment: VerticalAlignment.Center
                topPadding: 118
                leftPadding: 1150
                id: alarmCont
                ImageView {
                    opacity:1
                    id: alarmImage
                    minHeight: 98
                    minWidth: 98
                }
            }
    It all seems to fit, but if you see the 10.3 screenshot the whole app has sort of zoomed in by itself, I really don't understand why :/
    Forgot to mention that everything on the screen moves left and right with padding and y/x

    I'll try the top and bottom method shown in your code.

    I can always send you the bar file if it helps at all.

    Ah, so used
    Container {
    horizontalAlignment: horizontalAlignment.Right
    verticalAlignment: verticalAlignment.Bottom

    And it just bolted itself to the Left not the Right :/ wth

    I'm afraid padding might not work properly on 10.3.0 as it was only designed for new devices, it should work in 10.3.1 though. Your container was sticked to the left because you need to set the parent container as a DockLayout {} and make it fill the space, then your child container can stick to the right.

    You can look at BlackBerry Cookbook sample app to see how to align things, here's the code used to align images on top, bottom, left and right :
    https://github.com/blackberry/Cascad...DockLayout.qml
    And here's the parent container that is set to DockLayout and VerticalAlignment.fill :

    Cheers Rodger, guess I'll have to get used to this layout system.
