Yesterday I plugged my blackberry into my computer to remove some applications that were not working properly so I could re-install them. When I did so the manager updated my firmware and my blackberry reset itself, losing all of my contacts and BB pin contacts.

I had my e-mail account linked to my device before it reset and I could send e-mails etc. After the reset it can now only recieve e-mails and when i try to send one it says something like 'no e-mail settings', then when i try to add my e-mail account to the device it gives me 'your device encountered a problem with this application's server' after attempting to connect for a moment.

Is there a way to completely clear my old e-mail off the device then start again from scratch with regard to this.

    Thanks

you could do a device wipe, or even delete your email accounts through BIS and then re-install them.

All Fixed, had to go to BIS and remove e-mail account then add it again.
