Anyone with a 9700 successfully have BBM 5.0 running?

I'm running OS v5.0.0.169 (Platform 5.1.0.30) and I definitely know it can be done.. I saw it running on another 9700 running the same OS yesterday.

When I try the OTA links, I get "907 Invalid COD Unable to import ZIP file" about 2/3 of the way through the download...

Can't install through DM because I don't have the OS on my PC.. just what came with the pre-release phone.

If anyone's got any clues, let me know!

The version of BBM 5.0 that leaked will not work on that version software. You need a newer version.

Is there a newer version leaked or is it strictly internal?

You need to get a newer OS version in order for you to have BBM 5.0

Hmmm.. Is there any way to restore the old one? I've googled and googled to no avail - it's tough to get any troubleshooting info on a device so few people have!

So I stupidly removed the native BBM 4.7.0 on the phone thinking that was why the OTA download of 5.0 wasn't working.. so now I've got no BBM and no way to restore it becuase i don't have the 5.0.0.169 OS on my compter - just what came on the phone.

Anyone have any OS for the Onyx that I can install and just get the native BBM back? At this point, I don't even want 5.0.. I just want BBM back! Lol..

    Thanks guys!

I followed the instructions to load the COD files onto the phone using BlackBerry Master Control Program here...

    http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/get...tested-299113/

On that page, he provides a link to BBM which is a zip file with 2 CODs.. those ones didn't work. I followed all the instructions but used the COD files found at..

    http://www.theiexplorers.com/bb/bbm5008.zip.

Copy those all over the phone, do a battery pull and voila..

    Hope this helps!

I will try this tomorrow and post my results! Thanks so much for the directions.

One more question though. Which OS are you running? .169?
