If you say app world isn't slow on a BlackBerry phone it's because you never tried iPhome or Android app markets.

It's funny that the market with the least amount of apps is the slowest!

Hopefully BB10 changes both speed and content.
It's not always slow, the more you use it the faster it gets, probably it caches more info.

It's always slower after a reboot.

Right now it only takes a second or two to open screens and once you're in one screen it's even faster.

But I've certainly seen it lag badly too.

This is what pains me the most on my 9900, I upgraded 8 apps on my wife phone(cause she never does them) and it literally took me over half an hour. Love the phone, hate app world the way it is right now. Please, RIM, put an update all button with background updates please!!!

Getting into appworld is at times slow (spinning clock) but downloading or reinstalling apps is always quite fast.

I found this thread doing a search online for "blackberry app world download so slow"...lmao...I just got a Curve 9630 and it's taking like 5 minutes to download a 4 meg file on Wi-Fi...totally ridiculous! It's def RIM's fault as usual, they can't get anything right these days.

@Dayvidpriddy Maybe it's the ping. Do try a ping test to see if it's anything higher than 250 ms. Isp's are a factor. Also, which works for me, pause and resume it.
