In Australia the 9700 only comes with the pouch (thru Telstra anyway), and I would like a holster for when I'm at work. I have an old Palm Treo holster that is too big for a 'naked' 9700 but with a silicone skin it fits OK. I'd prefer an original holster because I'd rather not use a silicone skin. I think I've come full circle!

I see online at blackberry.com there is a horizontal holster and a swivel holster. Which one is included?

I use the holster when I'm at work. It's easier to get the phone out of it while its on my hip when I'm wearing my lab coat. I also you use it in my truck. Clip it to the visor and I'm good to go.

Ive never liked holsters, and have never used one. My phone stays in my pocket in a leather pouch/sleeve where I KNOW it will be when I need to grab it.

Im not exposing my BB to the world on my hip, I like to keep it safe, thank you very much!

I don't like the holster/case that comes with the phone, but I use my Seidio holster daily. I love it.

I always use the original holster and I do it just because it's an active item.Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

I use a leather holster....otherwise I would drop my phone all the time. The 9700 is so thin that I cant text with just one hand like my Curve 8310.

I used to use the holster at work, esp with the 9000, but since the 9700 was much smaller I stopped using it and went bare-back!

I also had a holster clip break on me with once, so shortly after that stopped using one.

What is even better for picking up chics is having your bluetooth earpiece in while chillin at happy hour....... and to top if off having your BB on your hip in its holster....

    1/2 holster, 1/2 pocket.

Holster at work, hate stuff in my pockets.
Jacket pocket all other times. Don't know what I'll do when it gets warm tho!

I am glad it came with a holster instead of the pouches all the other BBs came with. I only use a holster when I am working out so I can easily listen to music.

I don't use the one that came with it I have a seidio one that I use.

At all other times it is in it's "pouch" my left pocket is it's home. Nothing else goes in there.

I tend to use a holster for my 8830, but not really for my 9700. Can't explain why really, it just works out that way... Maybe because i tend to use the 8830 for work, and I'm usually in a suit as opposed to casual clothes...

It's simple, just take the clip off and boom you have a sleeve and your blackberry doesn't get scratched up like your last one

    9700 + Otterbox Commuter + OEM 9000 holster.

I've used a holster for every phone I've ever had. I always know where my phone is. It never gets washed. It never gets left in my other pants. It never gets sat on. It's always right where I reach for it, and it's protected.

I would use my holster (now that I have an Innocase and it fits relatively well in there, compared to the old gummy case) but the plastic clip is so big and would dig into me if I clipped it onto the waistband of a skirt or something. I should go look at some universal holsters I guess and see if can find one with a thinner clip.

I mostly keep it in my pocket or in my hand now, but when it gets warm and I start wearing dresses and skirts to work I might not have pockets lol.

I actually do not use the holster that came with my 9700. Instead I use a OtterBox defender. Sometimes it is in the holster part of it. Other times it is my pocket.

I have to have a holster. I hate scrambling to pull a ringing phone out of my pocket. Especially when sitting.
As far as looking "cool"; who cares?? After ten years, my wife just has to accept it.

+1, I do not care for holster. I had used the pouch for my old 8320. Pouch for 8900 once reported to have issue with battery drain so I started to use case. I have never gone back since

I know what the folks in the UK mean about holsters as I am from there.

I never used a holster in my life.....until the 9700.

It sits in an Commuter case in the holster, just more convenient for me. Would never have thought I would use one when in the UK but stranger things have happened I guess.
