    Have you tried setting your status to unavailable? You can place a status message that you are asleep.

    I put myself unavailable that way it makes no noise when you get a new message!

    Yep that is correct. You could also just power the device off if you wanted to. I just always set mine to unavailable and ppl normally get the hint...

    Yes it always runs on the Background, is part of the OS..is runs there by default

    I have a question that is somewhat related. I've never sent a BBM to a contact who was busy. If I did, would they receive the message as soon as they were not busy? I know I can do that with Yahoo Messenger.
