I recently installed a 5.0 bbm but it was giving my tour a lot of problems. I want bbm back in an older version but I can't seem to find my usb cable to do it through the desktop manager. Is there any way I can download bbm OTA?

Nope. RIM preders everyone to have 5.0.57

I'm sure people still have 4.7 links on here to BBM but cant understand why anyone would want to downgrade from 5.0

Load it from BlackBerry Desktop Manager. You will need to install the 4.7 DEVICE SOFTWARE to your computer.

Are you sure its BBM that's doing it? blackberryos.com and bbhybrids.net have a lot of downloads available. Bbleaks.com does too.

Because every version of BBM 5.0 I have downloaded is garbage. I wish I was still on 4.7

Is your OS 4.7 or 5.0? I have BBM 5.0.0.57 and I have no issues but I had to downgrade my OS back down to 4.7 because that was causing my Tour major problems. If your OS is 4.7, then you might want to check with Verizon on getting a replacement. I haven't heard of BBM 5.0 causing people problems.

And using the desktop manager would require the USB cable, of which the OP does not have currently.

Happens to me sometimes too. But why someone would not have their BB cord in their travel case is beyond me. Mind you hard to say if they had a laptop with em either.
