Starting to explore the Storm for entertainment, and while the native media player does the job, I find creating playlists a major drag. It's simply to painful to scroll through my entire list of songs to pick the one(s) I want. I figure if I'm getting something new there may also be other features I'd like that I'm not even aware of.

I started checking the software sites and there are other options out there, but at this point I'm interested most in real user feedback and suggestions on what to explore.

So - any comments on what you use as a media player, and why you do/don't like it?

FYI, as a general rule I'm not a huge fan of streaming, at least at this point. So that's not the major focus for my personal selection.

    TIA - R.

I love PodTrapper from VersatileMonkey.com - BlackBerry software including PodTrapper, the podcast manager | VersatileMonkey.com . It's easy to create plylist and it auto bookmarks, which is great if yo uever listen to audio books. It always remembers where you were in a collection of files. They have a trial copy...try it out.

I mostly ignore the built-in media player and use BBFileScout to play my tunes.

I wish that there was an enqueue function in media player like in winamp.

I've always wondered if there was something slightly better than the native player. Not that I've looked or anything, which other one's are there?

Wow thanks for this or I would never have found it. Just downloaded and will play with it. I listen to a lot of audio books and bookmarks are essential. I used to remove the protection to play them on my Archos but have been using my iPod for a while. Now I have to figure out how to once again remove the DRM so I can play them on my BB.

And it remembers where I left off on a movie too.

I've tried a few, 7Digital, tuneswiki, but find that the OS 6 media player works the best.
