    Also.. If you have a company device then your SMS messages can be logged. BBM is not logged.

    Lol you'll have to forgive me, I came from a 9630...I think most if not all of the CDMA devices had a 140 instead of 160 character limit.
    The character limit is not based on device, it's network type. CDMA carriers are limited to 140 (Verizon & Sprint) while GSM carriers are 160 (AT&T, T-Mobile).

    To the OP, a very simple search would have revealed many threads on this topic!!

    If the Feds get there way, that will be subject to change.

    BBM is great, but it's a closed environment, which limits it's usefulness IMHO. Wish there was an app for iPhone and Android that allowed cross-platform BBMing - to me it would be much more useful then.
