I'm going to upgrade soon to a new blackberry (new touch bold) and i have all my bbm contacts from my current device backed up.

I was wondering if there's a way to selectively restore certain contacts? That is, rather than restoring the entire contact list, to pick which contacts you want to re-add? I have a lot of contacts, some who I don't know really well and I think it would be awkward to re-add them.

Also, my blackberry is broken right now (the screen is messed up) so I have no way of deleting the contacts off my current BBM and then backing them up.

    Nope. Restore all or none.

Just restore all, and delete the ones you don't want?

If you wanted to edit your contacts before getting your new phone, you could always install a device simulator and connect that to desktop manager then restore and edit your contacts on the simulator. You can then make a new backup. Might be just as fast to edit them on the new device though.

Edit first, then make a backup.
