I have a friend who was just issued a Curve 8520 by his workplace. I wanted to connect with him on BBM, but I cant seem to locate the icon anywhere. I even tried re-downloading it and still no icon. It's in the applications list but we can't seem to get to it.

I don't want to hack a phone that's issued by a corporate IT department. I was just wondering if IT departments normally disable BBM on corporate issued devices? If so, what would be the reason - not wanting PINs to get out there?

Try doing a battery pull and looking in your downloads folder.

It is possible for an IT Policy to disable BBM. It is also possible for IT to log the content of BBM messages. If BBM is disabled by an IT Policy, you won't be able to hack it without being detected.

Thanks for the input. I'll check those when I see him next. I suppose we can always use SMS. I was just wondering if this was a standard practice.
