@theiexplorers have a desktop install for it in their twitter feed.....the OTA doesn't work
Thanks a lot for pointing that out. Knew it'd only be a matter of time until someone would be decent enough to share.

Unfortunately, the app is missing after I installed it.

For those of you having problems, try using the OTA's. Seems like they are working well for people:

OTA and Desktop Installs: Twitter by RIM v1.0.0.28 - @BBTweeps

This is, of course, beta and could stop working at any moment.

    Thanks for your OTA-Links.
The OS 5.0. version is working on my Bold 9700!

    Greets!

I've been using this app since last night and love it! I was beta testing UT but gonna make this my #1 I think. However, only some of my retweets appear in my timeline on the app on my BB Storm. I can see them on twitter.com but not on the app. I installed the 5.0.0.484 (I have a 9500) OS last night so not sure if this has anything to do with it. Anyone else?

I've been running the app for like a couple of hours and my first impressions:

    The good:
-UI is amazing in every way, colors, design, animation. Chapeau to RIM on that one
    - I really like the top menu, the search option and the way the profiles are displayed once you enter a tweet
    - Doesn't seen to be a battery or memory drainer, but again, I just have like to hours of use.

    The bad:
    - It's really laggy, but I guess is going to be this way during the beta period.
    - The retweet is awful, you can't edit before RT'ing I assume this is going to change in the near future, if not, would be a deal breaker for me
    - Shortcuts: I can't imagine this app not having shortcuts, I guess they'll come in the next update
    - It lacks a lot of options like the ability to chose a photo-upload service, the way you add your locations to tweets.
    - No sign of multiple accounts support. Kudos to Uber for that one

I love the UI of this app! The Facebook app needs to be designed similar to this.

TwitLonger should definitely be implemented, and so should the friend picker. It's what Facebook needs too.

This app is beautiful, can't wait until it's official and fixes the lag problem. I love the UI.

I've only had it for about an hour so I don't know what kind of battery impact this is going to have. If its a drainer it'll be gone. I hope it isn't, because it is exactly what I wanted in a Twitter client.

It was a severe drainer on my Tour. Gone in a few hours.

Text is way too big......maybe twice as big as I use with Uber.

Why can't you move it to the background? It closes every time you exit and doesn't show up in the application switcher menu.
