as i was boringly reading wikipedia today, something caught my eye. RIM bought dash navigation, the makers of dash express, an in-car gps company. do you think RIM will release a native GPS app, like google navigator? they have the resources now

I think what the OP and this action means is that they may come out with a native app that not only does the mapping but spoken turn by turn navigation.

Signs look good for RIM beefing up BB Maps.

I am moving this thread to Native Apps

No! Navigation means voice guided turn by turn directions.
Feel like I've just been scolded. ;-)

Technically it means charting the course, which does not require a voice giving you the directions.
