If my phone is locked, and thus everything is encrypted, if I receive a Blackberry Messenger message it rings, then when I go to check it is displays as <Content Protection Is Enabled> and I can't read the message, sometimes after a few hours it magically appears, but that's no use if I can't read it right away.

    What do I do?

I don't have that "content protection is enabled" whenever I receive a message. Any chance your phone is a work phone?

If you're not on BES you can disable Content Protection.

    Options icon
    Security Options
    General Settings
    Content Protection: Disable

ditto on the BES comment...also, you might try and go to your "messages", and try to open it there...

some times my BBM just refuses to bring messgaes up when there is a new one...i don't get that error, but I am able to open it within the messages tool...

let us know what your findings are...
