Hello I'm going to Mexico and I would like to avoid the excessive roaming charges on my OS6 9700. I would like to use my phone basically for making calls and BBM Texting.
How can I disable Email, Facebook and all incoming data but BBM?
Please help me!! I'm really worried!!!!!

just turn off your mobile network by going to "manage connections" (click on the top bar of the home screen where the time is) and un-checking the mobile network box.

When you're in mexico, just connect through wifi somewhere at your hotel and you'll be able to continue to send emails and bbm messages. You won't be able to make calls, but at least you can still communicate.

I don't think you can choose which data is allowed through. Log out of or remove the apps you don't want using data.

Disabling the mobile network isn't really helpful considering the OP said he wanted to make calls.

you can turn off all your connections and connect to bbm via wi-fi.

As long as you don't turn off your BIS

You can, go to individual apps permission settings and deny them access to internet connection but allow it wifi access. Leave BBM as it is.
