Your profile doesn't say, do you have your 9800 and 9700 both in use? Or did you switch from 9700 to 9800?

In the My World listing, does it show an activation code with it?
I just switched from the Bold to the Torch. I still have the 9700 with no SIM in it.

App World on my Torch still shows the License that was used on the Bold.

I was able to contact Digital Cyclone (makers of My-Cast) and they sent me a new code. Very helpful

I switched from Torch to Style and one of my apps has crappy customer service and won't email me a new code. Some auto populate a new code when you associate App World with your new PIN but this one did not. I emailed them and they gave me the run around.

Anyway--I'm willing to pay the $2.99 for the app but I can't frickin delete it so that I can repurchase it! It's grayed out in the uninstalled section. How can I repurchase this item? I'm thinking of creating a whole new App World account and logging in under that just to purchase this one App but will that mess up my other Apps?

Stupid that I can't repay for something even if I want to!

Ok I'm new here and I have recently moved from a 9700 to a 9780 and one of the apps has crappy support, read none, and they have not given me a new file tied to my PIN the app is only $4 so i want to delete it from appworld and buy it again. I have tried the Cancel download option and the ALT+RST option and neither work for me running OS 6.0.0.285 from Telus official release.

    Help Please this is frustrating!!!

    Thanks in advance

This has always worked for me. YMMV.

    Open BB App World.

    Scroll to My World.

Scroll down to your uninstalled list.

    Select the app.

    Choose reinstall.

    Enter your login information.

As the app starts to download, make sure it's highlighted, and pressed your trackpad/trackball to pause the download. This step is just to ensure it doesn't completely download, especially if it's a small size app.

Click your BB key and select Cancel Download.

The download will cancel, and it will no longer show up in your list.

    Hope this helps!
yes ,yes ,yes thank you , finally I tried everything in these post and this one worked for me on my 8530 koodo service . I didn't have to log in . Excellent . Doing the happy dance not having to see those apps that I don't want to use anymore . Big Thanks

I wouldn't get to excited. They will likely come back if you do an App World reset, logoff/login to My World or whenever your device OS gets updated and you login to MyWorld again.

I completely agree, as I've stated previously.
However it's their right to think it's a big deal or not. I probably have things that I care about that others would roll their eyes about too.

I think the point is , if you UNINSTALL something that you don't want on your phone it should be gone . To each his own , I'm not the only one anal about this by the looks of things posted above . I can see the reason for it being that way , just in case you wanted to use it at a later date . But if it's a lamo app than why ? keep it on the phone .

I was thinking it would come back after an ALT+RST maybe, but even more likely after upgrading your OS or the App World app itself.

Only recommendation: Join Beta Zone, get the Feedback Tool app, submit feedback directly to RIM about your likes & dislikes such as this issue.

Since there are recent postings I'll add to it.

Uninstalled apps are maintained in your app world profile on RIM's server. That's why they reappear if you reset or switch to a different BB device. I have a 9000 and a 9800. When I connected my 9800 for the first time to App World, I saw all the uninstalled apps from my 900 appear.

Only way I truly purged them was to create a new BB ID using a "disposal" GMail account (use whatever mail system you choose). When I logged in to the new account on my 9800, it "refreshed" and the uninstalled apps were gone. I verified this by logging in with my 9000 and the same happened.

Apps I left installed show up on BB screen but not on Myworld on the website.

Not a great solution but gets 'er done!

I did the same thing...an account for trying out new apps and an account for the apps I keep.

Holy OCD Batman! That sounds like a whole lot of work to keep uninstalled apps out of the Uninstalled list that you can minimize to hide all entries Just sayin'

EDIT: I guess it's actually not too much extra work considering the lame way App World makes you sign in with your BBID incessantly. It's almost as silly & pointlessly redundant as the sign-in's and keycodes with Beta Zone.

When you signed in with same BBID on your 9000, only Torch-compatible apps showed up in Uninstalled. If any weren't compatible, they showed up in a separate Unavailable list.

Understand that while not liked by you, this is what the majority of people would want. Most people have 1 BB, and when they sign in for first time on a different device it's because that's their new device. As such, most people would be pleased to have their list of apps ready & waiting for them. I know I was happy with it the last 2 times I switched BB's. I'm assuming they wanted this system to make the most people the most happy, and I think they've achieved that.

Hey, I have an issue but its not with the app world, I dowloaded facebook, then I did not want ti anymore, when I deleted the app through options-apps-delete..the installer icon was still there (not the program but the install icon (in downloads folder) any hints on how to get rid of this, thanks in advance fellow crackheads!

the FB download icon is from a service book . just select the icon and hit hide.
even if you delete the service book it will keep coming back.

Yep exactly right. Any DL-link icons are from service books pushed through by the carrier. You can't get rid of them, but you can hide them.
They only take up a neglible amount of app memory, so hide it and forget it!

^ It is now well documented that ALT RST no longer removes the list of un-installed apps in App World.

Click reinstall then wait for "downloading" to appear hit MENU then PAUSE then hit MENU again then CANCEL DOWNLOAD. The application will no longer appear in the uninstalled list.

EDIT: They do reappear after clearing app world cache (ALT + RST)

Wow, if you people don't want someone else seeing that you've installed some porn app or whatever you want to disappear so bad quit installing them lol.

Can't figure out why else you want to get rid of something that isn't installed but just listed.

    Your mileage might vary:

Once you have App World running and are in My World:
    1. Hold down ALT and press the letters RST.
    2. App World will automatically exit.
    3. When you restart it, you wont see any more of those uninstalled apps in My World.

Again, since Version 2 (and the implementation of the BB login), this no longer works.

The list is now saved on the BB server end, not the phone. So there is nothing to reset.

Sure, you can keep the list un-expanded. But it's just the principle of the thing.

I've got 17 apps that accumulated and subsequently deleted over the past 2 years that I'd rather just not see. Old themes, weather apps, and some "productivity" apps that weren't as productive as I thought.

And then there is the bug when you update an app outside of App World, and that app suddenly gets dumped to the "uninstalled" category... even though the app is still installed and working fine.

Besides, I don't think there is any porn on App World.
