When Someone Creates And You Scan A:

    Calendar Event: Nothing Happens

Contact Info: Gives You The Info On A MECARD But Does NOT Add It To Your Contacts

Email Address: Lauches Your Email To Compose To That Email Address

Geo Location: Lauches BlackBerry Maps To Find That Location

    Phone Number: Initiates The Call

    SMS: Nothing Happens

(Free) Text: Gives You The Text Info That Was Created

URL: Launches The Browser To That URL (It Can Be An Image Link URL)

I Used This GENERATOR To Make The QR Codes

I Like That The New BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 Has A Code Reader (And I Will Use It For QR Codes)
But I Suggest To Use The Microsoft Tags Beacause:

    1) Can Be In Full Color
    2) Can Be In Black & White
    3) You Can Create A vCard Tag
    4) You Have FULL Control Of The Tags (Analytics)
    5) They Are Cumtomizable (An Image ON The Tag)
    6) Are Editable (You Can Change The Info On The Tag At Any Time)
    7) An App For All Major Phones (Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, J2ME-MMP, JAVA 2 Micro Edition, Palm OS, Symbian Edition, Windows)

PS: Download Microsoft Tag HERE To Your Phone And Have Fun With It, Or Point Your Phones Browser To GetTag.mobi

The mecard one and the text one for me don't do anything. I have tried scanning other sample barcodes and nothing happens. The ones with a an email link or a web address read and open fine. How come I cannot see the information ones?

Well I'm not sure if being "cumtomizable" is a good thing or a bad thing, but I do like the microsoft ones. The camera seems to read them better. Probably since they're using colors as data the shapes don't need to be as high-res and are more easily picked up by a CCD.

But really, about 1 in 10,000 people know about this tag stuff anyhow. They'll be popular outside Japan in, oh, 2014 maybe.

EDIT: I can't scan the text or mecard ones either.
