    hi,

i am travelling to usa in the morning (in the uk at the moment)
i have a blackberry data plan
i would like to use my bb in the hotel only (where there is free wi-fi)
i would like to do this for free
so, i need to turn my mobile network off, and my wi-fi on. ALSO, i would need to keep my data services on.
this should keep all data transmitted through wi-fi, thus nothing should be charged.
    is this correct?

There's an option to turn off roaming. That will do the trick. It is located in the manage connection - options if I am not wrong.

Yes, that is correct. That's exactly what I did when I travelling to Jamaica. Never got charged a dime for using data that way.
