So after a whole long process of switching phones with my brother, I can't seem to find my bbm. It has to be there because when I go under options and applications it shows that its there. And when I go to app world and I see that's its there under my world and I try to click run but nothing happens. Anybody have any ideas how to get it back????

Log into your BIS account for your phone, go to Help - send service books.

Yes, those things actually DO have something to do with BBM because it's part of your BlackBerry Data.

Here are the places that I would look.

Instant Messaging (you indicated that it wasn't there)
    Downloads
    Application Center
    Applications

And make sure that you have "Show All" active when you look.

Everything involving a blackberry internet program - like the browser, does involve service books being pushed to your device. So, yes....it does have to do with your bbm icon.
