And when I attempt to setup my email account it won't let unselect the option that says "I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server."

Have you tried re sending your service books? I remember i first came to blackberry i bought a second hand pearl 8120 and i could get email set up, didnt know about bbm at the time. I then realised when i had a contract upgrade, i went for the curve 8900 that i had to have the blackberry internet bolt on for it to work. Anyways....back to you, i would definetly try your service books!

Log in to the BIS page for your carrier from a computer.
    Click on "Change Device".
Enter the information for the new device.
    Save your changes.
    Click "Help".
    Click "Send Service Books".

Nope. It will just switch your data services over to your new device.

If doing it via the BIS website doesn't work, you'll have to call the carrier.
