    Hey guys,

I've tried asking guys in the group about this but no luck. I was wondering if there's a way to silence the alerts you get when someone sends a message in a bbm group? The guy I was talking to said to go to my message folder and click my bb button and select message alerts but that doesn't seem to be on my list? Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks Chris!

    You're welcome.

Yes, that's it. You'll find the BlackBerry Messenger Group alert settings in there!

Like many others I've had issues with group alerts, but the above mentioned solution hasn't helped.

I've set the "groups" alert to silent w/ both LED and vibration off and I'm still getting an audible alert as well as a vibrate

Here's the funny thing. The sound that I'm hearing isn't even the sound selected in the ring tone field, it's a totally different one that none of my alerts even have assigned.

    What gives?

I'd appreciate any and all help.

P.S. I've tried multiple battery pulls already

When I first tried to set BBM group alerts to silent it didn't work for me. My profile on the Tour was set to loud. I change my sound profile to normal and now I don't here the alerts. Try changing your profile to Normal.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I still don't get why it would be using a sound that isn't even selected

    Hopefully this does the trick

I noticed that I still get group alerts when I show my status in BBM as busy. Is this just something that the new BBM does? On the old BBM, if I was busy I did not get alerts.
