I got a blackberry curve 8520 for my birthday in december and it came with an contract orange sim but i decided to put my current tmobile sim card into it and it is pay as you go as all of my friends are on tmobile.

I have downloaded the facebook app for my BB and msn, but i cannot log into them as it saying something about contacting your service provider i.e tmobile.

when i rang tmobile i told them that i cannot use the features on my BB, i.e. MSN, BB Messenger & Facebook. & they told me that i cannot use them as i am not on contract!?

However, many of my friends are on tmobile and pay 5 a month to use these services.. does anyone know how to set this up?

I think it is absoloutely ridiculous that i cannot set this up! I dont want to use the pay monthly orange simcard as it is 15 a month for 100 mins & unlimited texts. When i already have the 'monthly talk' plan with tmobile and i pay 20 a month for unlimited calls & texts to tmobile customers where i also get unlimited texts to all networks anyway

    Hi there,

From what I can see you're from the UK, right?

I checked their website and there they are talking about a Blackberry e-Mail booster for 5 GBP / month. I could imagine that this is a BIS package and this is what you will need to get your BB going.

Of course you can run a BB without BIS, but this will be half the fun and can be a bit complicated. If you want to do that, please let me know, I can help you on this too, but definitely would recommend you to take the BB package.
