    No it has to do with how the BIS accesses the POP server. As mentioned above you could have your comcast email forwarded to either the blackberry.net address or a gmail address and set the blackberry to look like you are sending from comcast. setting the reply to address to the comcast address. That's the only work around I know of.

    wow! so are there any work arounds at all?

    it seems comcast has changed their email options and they seems to be unavailable via their web interface and only accessible through your desktop email client... ???
    It is a limitation of the protocol POP3, which Comcast uses. Gmail uses IMAP.
