I have the same problem. I have an "archive" icon that appears to restore BBM 5.0 but when it installs, I can't find the Icon on my BB.

    delete BBM from phone

    then go to www.blackberry.com/messenger

Download and install and you should be good to go. If you dont see it its either hidden or in another folder

Installing from App World won't work. Had this issue last week with .323. Try this link instead:

BBHybrids Forums - Downloads - BBM 5.0.0.33 For OS 5.0.0

Okay so I updated to 5.0 as you all most likely did. Lol. And obviously the bbm is gone. Okay. So I tried downloading from app world and it says its installed or whatever n I can't find it in any place. So I deleted it. And then downloaded from the URL you gave and when it was done downloading it said blah blah "denied wifi permission" umm wtf? So I checked to see if it atleast downloaded and it did but I went to open it and it says something about uncaught something. So what should I do now? I want my bbm back. Please any help?

ha, first post and i'm already getting burned. whenever i tried downloading the leaked versions of 5.0 or the service pack earlier today, i open an .exe that turns into just a bunch of text. didn't know if something different was needed for mac users or not

.exe doesn't work for Mac computers.
