So I just got my 9700 about a week ago and got the upgrade for BBM. Now, I have noticed that when I send a BBM to someone it is extremely delayed...between 5 to 20 minutes! And from speaking to those sending me messages, it seems as if I am delayed in receiving them as well. I called tech support for Telus and they had me delete my service books and then resent them...also had me register through host routing..I also did several resets on the phone but I am still having the issue. a quick observation I made, was that i seem to be delayed when receiving or sending to other 9700's or 3G devices...anyone else having this issue? anyone have a solution??

welcome to the problems with the new network.........

everyone on the new telus/bell HSPA network is sufferring from delays in BBM.

on top of it, about 3/10 phone calls are garbled and robotic sounding.....

they say they are fixing it....they better be cuz its been like this since november and im getting pissed.

I just talked to Telus tech support and they told me that they are having network issues with the HSPA network. They created a ticket and told me it would be within 48 to 72 hours for the issue to be resolved...i guess I can wait 48 hours...but waiting since November...that would be a p*** off for sure....makes me wonder why they would launch an HSPA network without ironing out all the bugs....

Anyone else having issues on the Telus network with their 9700? Specifically with BBM messages being delayed or calls being dropped.

Yes, I have the issue as well with "garbled" calls or sounding like I am talking to a person in a tin can. Dropped calls as well. I don't use my phone much for calls anyhow. I have found that BBM messages are delayed or slow at times to people that are not on the new network. I quite often get the status that the other person in busy after I send a message and it takes up to a few minutes to be delivered or read. Somehwat frustrating.

I haven't experienced the garbled calls as of yet and hoping that I never will...my bbm messages are delayed between 8 to 15 minutes...especially to ppl on the 3G network...people that are on the old network there's little to no delay...I really hope they fix this issue soon either with a software upgrade from rim or telus....

I've also been having this issue with Telus. I've called tech support many times but noone has acknolwedged to me that it is a network issue even though many people I know are having the exact same issue. quite annoying and hope it gets fixed soon.

I haven't noticed that much of a delay sending messages on BBM.

But really, is anyone really THAT surprised that the *NEW* network is having issues to start? No one should be. These things happen when you introduce new technologies. They'll fix it an in 6 months no one will even remember that this happened.

I often have these issues with AT&T. It will take several minutes for the "D" to show up sometimes. While other times, it works great.

I am having the same delay issues on the Telus HPSA network. Telus said there is a fix in the works and on the way. I wait...
