    i have a curve 8900. my bbm service hasnt been able to send or receive messages. i deleted it and re-installed it, i wiped my bb clean and started over. nothin works. my service provider says its a bb error and not a service error. bbm version 5.0.0.57 bb os 4.6 what can i do to fix it?

    First solution that comes to my mind is upgrading your OS to the latest one ( 5.0.0.681 )

    I agree with the above post, upgrade to the newest os. Not only will you get better phone usage but the bbm for 5.0 is 10 times better.

    But when you upgrade to OS 5.0.0.681 it will put BBM 5.0.0 on so make sure you upgrade that to 5.0.0.57

    I think that the .681 has BBM 5.0.0.66. Check the OS sticky

    Ok but maybe it depends on the carrier. When I upgraded to .681 it didn't come with the latest BBM.

    you're right! . . . App World notified me of an update after two days. I had installed .57 but then used DM to get the BBM which came with the OS.

    Two days later I got a notification from App World that BBM has an update ( 5.0.0.57 )
