It is a bit different than the 5.0.0.8 version and I think I like 5.0.0.8 better

the group option is a battery killer so wont be using that to be honest.

I like the nice clean interface that has been tweeked slightly from the leaked version.

Im impressed i will admit, liking the new BBM

    its all gravy

It's nice. The proximity alert isn't there. I would like to not be notified of group chat entries when I leave the chat but stay in the group.
Other than that its awesome. I no longer have to bounce back between bbm and sms to chat with both services. Avatars are nice, home screen contacts are awesome.

It's very nice, but a while ago when I click on my friend contact to start a chat then the keyboard goes on the top of my storm and can't click anything, never get this problem with earlier version of BBM 5.....

Just pull out my battery and seems all good again.....

I tried it a while ago but when I realized how much file fee space is using I went back to the old version. 2.7mb is a lot if you have an older blackberry, should be fine on newer models tho.

i was anxious to try the new official version. but found out that i still have to go through "accept"ing and "download"ing process whenever sending or receiving pictures or media files. so i downgraded immediately.

but frankly, apart from that, i don't find anything else to complain about.

Its a big file, dropped me below 20 after battery pull. I'll play with it later, might downgrade, might not, we'll see how it does.

Yeah, a bit big for my 8830, and may downgrade. Took me hours to get if loaded too. haha...

And, lost all my BBM contacts upon instal, that was nice.

Not impressed...due to a never ending process of "Install, crash, reset, crash, reset, delete, install"......

Definitely need a universal OS per phone model to stop the madness...get it together RIM.

I am not a fan. I liked the leaked version of bbm5.0. The font size is just wayy to big on the new bbm5.0. Tried downgrading last night but couldn't get it to work :/

It looks a lot cleaner then the Beta. I'm liking it so far. 2.7mb is a bit much though.

It looks good. I think it's a nice face lift. The old one looked archaic compared to all the other IM apps. Too soon to know if the upgrade was worthwhile, but I highly doubt anything major will show up after some time using it. Good job RIM!

Overall I like it but it was a ***** to install and this thing is a serious battery killer....not sure if its the group contact thing or what but if it is its too bad cause its a great feature.

I like the new look, barcode and the ability to back up your contacts. However, I am not a fan of the groups. It is okay if you have only a few people but when you get more the alerts do not stop coming.

BBM itself is awesome. We just need a newer OS because it seems that its alot on .230.

    Otherwise everythings gravy.
