I am not sure the technical term on this, but the icon with the "smiley face" at the top of my screen says that I have 1 unread BB Messanger message and it won't go away. I have gone through all my conversations and read everything, closed all the conversations, opened new conversations, etc, etc, etc. How do I get rid of this so I know when I actually have a message?

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried a battery pull? With your phone on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, then put it back in.

If I had a nickle for every solved problem from a battery pull I would almost have enough $ to buy that curve I've been eying...

Hi, I know that this is a older post but this is EXACTLY what is going on with my phone at the moment. I am really hoping that someone would read this and help me. I have done a battery pull and the smiley face it still there, I have opened conversations, ended conversations, etc... The smiley face is still there.

This happened after I had done a upgrade for my BB messenger, after I rebotted it then the smiley face appeared and never went away.

    PLEASE help :S

Use DM to clear the databasr. open DM then goto to backup/restore>then advanced> plug the device in and on the right hands side scroll down a bit. Find the BBM datadbase and clear it using the button. you need to back up the device and then do a restore.
