Use Desktop Manager to make a backup of the BBM database from the old phone
then use Desktop Manager to restore the backup to the new one.

In BBM, (the newer versions) press the menu button and select OPTIONS. From
there you can backup to and restore from the memory card. With the new device
do the same but select RESTORE and point to the file on the memory card.

You can also associate the contact list with an email address and when prompted
have BBM recover using that email address (by far the easiest)

Yeah, the online email based backup is awesome. People don't even know you have a new device, it just works!
if you've changed phone you could try the device migration in DM too

Never tried that first option, but ever since I could remember, I was backing up my bbm contacts via my bb email given by my provider's BIS.
