I've used the patched APK's from Tatail since I have been driving for Uber the past 6 weeks. It's never been more than a day of downtime from Uber requiring an update and a patched APK being posted. Until now.

We certainly can't get upset at someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for all this time. But, it would be nice to find a workable solution.

I loaded everything. Apps work and find my location but the maps are not visible. Google maps works perfectly by itself.

Guys I have uploaded a new version Google Play Services that was patched by Cobalt232, I am trying to patch the apps right now but Java is giving me hard time.. I received an update for java last week and now the patcher is acting weird.

The updated Uber Driver apps are greatly appreciated! It looks like we need another update so us blackberry folks can get back on the road. Is there anyway we can show our appreciation by, shall we say, tipping, and making this worthwhile for you? Maybe a donation through square cash or something similar?? Please let us know,

When you say it doesn't work, what error are you getting?
Are you talking about the update or this is your first time that you have installed the app?

Anyone drive for Sidecar? Can't get patched version to work. Other patched apps work though.

Right now, Uber is the only game in this town.

I suspect that will change soon, but until that happens, it's Uber or nothing.

I'd be more than interested to hear your experiences on Uber vs. the alternatives.

open this exact thread from your phone, and then in the very post there is a link.
Open that link on your phone
There you will see a link for Google Play Services
Click and Download the app
Once download is finished, tap on it top open it.
If you have enabled app installation outside BlackBerry World, you would get the option to install on the top right corner.
Once installation is done, I highly recommend restarting your phone.
After you restart the phone, let it set idel for a few minutes.

Note: If the app that you want to install depends on Google Play Services (GPS) then you need to patch the app.

Here is an example of what will happen if you don't patch the app:
You installed GPS then you installed your app, lets say Uber app, and when you open the app you will get a notification that GPS needs to be installed.

To avoid such situation you need to patch the app.

In the browser after it gives you the message that Download has started, tap the three vertical dots on the right hand bottom of your screen and then very first top Downloads button. If your download has started or finished you will see it there and all you have to do is just tap on the file name and it'll open.

Thanks also from me tatail. I had been patching my own Uber using GMAPS Patcher until v3.53.2 the Patcher could not rebuild after patching, but you managed it. Any ideas why I hit the problem myself?

I got the same error when I first tried, but if you read the error when it pops up it tells you to 'disable compilation of resources' or something like that.
That did it for me and I am sure it'll fix it for you as well.
