lyft is unusable for me i can only input home and work location and does not let me edit those also does not let me add a direction if i am somewhere other than home or work i cant use it because i cant input the address

That has been like that for a very long time...
You can definitely use the drop pin for pickup location and ask the driver to enter the destination for you.

The problem is that patching the app breaks it and it doesn't seem to recognize Google Play Services and can't lookup locations to add to it

Thanks tatail. From Cobalt's 101 page thread I found a side thread was created on the 24th just for Google Maps. Looks like there may be an issue patching some apps using Cobalt's play services patcher on Win10. In any case, someone posted a link to a patched version of GMaps that seems to work. I've copied it and pasted it to my box folder:

Hello guys. I had the Uber app installed, and it worked (based on the instructions here) and now I wanted to update.
So I uninstalled all google related apps, alogside with uber and I started from tops with the tutorial.
Problem is that when I try to install google maps, this pops out:
I even tried to install the older version of Maps that previously worked, but it still doesn't work... Any ideas?

For future reference, updating the patched versions of Uber, Lyft, etc... does not require the deletion and re installation of all the Google apps. All you need to do is download the newest patched version and click Update. The only time an app must be completely deleted is to switch from a patched version to an un-patched version or vice versa.

As to your specific issue, the only thing I can offer is to hard reset the phone and try the process again.
Verizon instruction for Classic reset:
Press and hold the Alt key + Delete key + Right Shift Key for seven seconds.
Note The device powers down completely.
Note Allow several minutes for the process to complete.

T-Mobile says this for the Classic (Which is the same process I use for my Verizon Z30)
Press and hold the volume up and down buttons at the same time.
Wait for the device screen to go dark, then release the buttons.
The device will automatically power back on.
