Well, It seems that I don't have to patch the Uber I fact.
I just installed the official UBer from snap and it works apparently. I don't know for how long but I think I will use the official one
But I will keep in mind your solution guys and try them later.
Thanks a lot for your help guys.

The question is does Facebook app ask you for Google Play Services if you install it? If yes then patching will fix that issue..

I can't tell if it will help with any other errors that might occure.

Is it true that the latest version of Uber doesn't need to be patched or Google play services?

That's what people in other forums are saying...

I just installed the "virgin" unpatched version 3.82.3 and it works without any error messages.

Maybe a top executive at Uber has a BlackBerry and was getting as frustrated as we were about all this...

I'm not sure if this question was asked of me, but I just deleted the older patched Uber app and installed the newest update directly from Google Play Store. You can also use Snap if you'd rather go that route.

The previous versions of Uber all returned error messages or just plain would not open for me unless they were patched.

I have been trying to get the Hilton Honors app to work. I have loaded most of the files from Cobalt's posts, and have followed all the instructions, and still can't seem to have any luck. Does anyone have a working .apk file?

A new version of Uber just came out (version 3.84.4) and the unpatched version works like a charm on my Verizon Z30.

Up until the previous version, I always had to use the patched version of the app - it wouldn't even open; just a blank black screen. For some reason it started to work. The GPS locks exactly onto my position and the map shows where all the available cars are. I'm using the most current leaked OS on my phone and the most current Google Play Services by Cobalt.

Lyft still needs to be patched, but at least Uber is working fine.

This thread has been great! I had a question on apps that has updates in the GPS. If I already have Google account, Google ID, Google Whitelist, Google settings and loaded patched apps such as maps and YouTube, how should the 'updates' be treated? Is it OK to simply update them via the play store, patch the apps then run it through the Whitelist, or does everything needs to be deleted (GPS, account, settings and apps) and start fresh?

No you need to patch the updates as well.. and then try to install the update and the system will update it for you..

I installed the 'raw' Driver app and it does not want to find my location even after trying rebooting and having Google Maps opened first.
I've not tried the 'raw' Lyft app.

    Thanks for that,

I got your message, unfortunately I am not at home and I don't have a computer to try patching Google maps at this time.

I do believe just patching it with default settings in 1.4 should just work fine. Maybe they have changed something with new update.

I'll check it first thing when I go home.
