I used your patches to run Uber and Lyft for 6 weeks. Last night Uber told me I had to update, so I did, and updated Lyft also. Now neither works. I tried uninstalling everything and starting over according to your instructions, but it does not work.

Google Maps will work if I manually turn on google settings first. But when I try to start either uber or lyft I get the dreaded "you need google play services" message.

Please help! I lost a night of work last night and if I can't fix this in the next few hours I will have to replace my Passport. I love the phone but if I need another phone in order to drive then I have to buy something else immediately.

Sorry to hear that, I know how important it is to have everything working..
Have you updated Google Play Services app to the latest one on the first post that I have listed?

I would also uninstall everything, restart the phone, install Google Play Services, restart the phone again and then install the apps.

Turn on WiFi before going online and make sure to turn it off after you go online.

If this doesn't work out then it is best you get yourself a spare phone just for this purpose.

I hope you didn't install the update from the Play Store which would explain why it stopped working. Only patched versions of Uber work.

I wonder if you can make the first link functional for downloading. It has more patched apps but the download function doesn't work.

I don't understand what you mean?
If you open the link in the browser you can actually download the file that you want.

I only see a new Uber Driver but the issue I'm having is with Uber Cab.

It still has the same problem. After showing the splash screen that says UBER it then goes and shows the launch icon as a second splash screen (which I never remember prior versions doing) and freezes.

Hmmm. It doesn't do anything like that for me.
Do this:
Uninstall the app
Restart the phone
Leave it for five minutes
Install the app and trying again

I am sure there is something on your end that is causing this.
I have the apps installed on my phone and it works just fine.

It was running fine with your prior to this version of Uber.

Google Settings is 1.0.810.5036

I have your latest version of Uber Driver installed, but as of this morning it didn't let me go online. It was working fine all of last week.
I uninstalled,restarted and reinstalled, but now after sign in it can't find my location

Thoughts?
