Before I order this I wanted to confirm if it will only work with a "naked" Z10, or is there enough room to squeeze it in there if the Z10 has a case on it?

If its the OEM BB leather holster youre talking about then no. Even the thinnest of skins make the Z to big for the holster. I personally ended up buying an Incipio DualPro case and Tech21 horizontal holster. They make a vertical one also but I've found with the Z's length the horizontal works better for me. Took a little getting used to carrying "sideways" but its worked out well.

No it won't fit. I bought a Poetic Atmosphere and a Nillken hard case with the hopes that they would fit, but they wouldn't.

No they don't fit in the own holster with a case. I have a transform case and I use a GnarlyFish Belt Clip Holster. It is a vertical holster. No problem of falling out and has a magnet closure. Can accommodate transform case and still some room.
