[CrackBerry Question]

Early July: Upgraded Z30 to BB10.3
Early August: Z30 suddenly bricked - blue screen, would not boot, connect, etc. Dead.
This week: New Z30, upgraded to BB10.3.2.
Installed BB10 Playbook extension in Google Chrome.
Installed Snap v. 2.0.0.2

A couple of apps installed correctly: Zoom meetings, SmartNews.
No other Android apps will install. Have tried going through Snap. Have tried going through Amazon store. Have tried going through BB10 Playbook Manager on Chrome. Nada. No Android apps install. I have rebooted the Z30, but no change.

I really do not want to do a wipe and start over. Anyone know about this behavior? I've seen a couple of threads touching on this topic, but no real solutions.

Hi (I'm the original poster - had some problems with account logon).

Here's a partial list of Android apps that I had installed on my (bricked) Z30, which continued to work fine after update to BB10.3 from 10.2, and which will now not install on my replacement Z30, which I updated to BB10.3.2 a few days ago:

Kindle, BBC News, NPR News, Bpod, Fandango, Netgear Genie, Kobo, Nook, Pandora (of course), Lync2010.

Tried them all multiple times, rebooted multiple times - download succeeds, permissions succeed, installation starts, then crashes with "Cannot install this application" error message.

Is a factory re-set and re-installation of OS10.3.2 my only option?

Also look in your Hub/notifications for updates available. Or you can then go to the Amazon AppStore and check for updates to install the other apps.

jafobabe - thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, there are zero update notifications, and Amazon AppStore has no update available.

I did just install WeChat app from Snap - successfully and the app works. No idea why the others won't install, but I'll keep working on it and will post updates here as I have more info.
