I have no clue why these Android apps ask for various access, and even if they do.. why simple App like Drinking Water Reminder need access to my Files?? My Photos etc..?

Why apps like NewsHunt which is serving news from various sources need access to my Files?

Can we do anything for this??

If it need to write anything to your phone it needs permission.

Apps cannot persist data inside themselves. Your drinking water reminder, for instance, needs to record when it was first set up and what intervals it needs to remind you. This needs to be written somewhere or else the app won't know when to remind you.

Very few apps can function completely without being able to persist data somewhere.
