Recently got a mac and was wondering if there was anything different i need to be doing to sideload apps? i was using the google chrome extension with my pc, and thought it would be the same with the mac but every time i click the "manage my device" button it redirects me to "page not available." any help would be appreciated/ if there is a thread similar to this please direct me haha! thanks so much!

Have you enabled developer mode? That's pretty much the only reason the Chrome extension would do that on a Mac. It's no different in how it works on any operating system. The computer's OS is pretty much irrelevant.

Developer mode is definitely on. Google chrome is also lagging when i click to manage device, and I'm wondering if the cause (whatever the cause of the lag might be) is the same.

Using a Mac to sideload apps, help!-screen-shot-2013-08-15-4.54.28-pm.jpg

this is what i'm seeing. it says there's something wrong with my internet connection, but attempting to sideload is the only time I experience chrome lagging.

Ya, that's weird. I just tested mine out to be sure and all worked fine. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the extension? This is the second time I've heard of people having issues with this today.

I think it's because you have your phone set to connect to windows. You need to go to settings>storage>change to connect to mac and then enable developer mode and it'll work all great! This happens to me whenever I don't set it to Connect to Mac
