Here is the ultimate procedure to get Google Maps running with starred places
    • Download latest Google Maps
    • Install Google Login Services APK (look below)
    • Go to Google Maps settings and login from there, do not login directly in Google Account app
    • Go to www.google.com/history and activate webprotocol
    • Run Google Maps (Press and hold on any spot to save a location)

    Download Google Login Services here:

If you don't like the notifications Google Maps is sending to your hub, you can deactivate them like this:
    1. Install Ghost Commander,
    2. go to Apps, find Google Maps, press and hold until you see Manage, unselect notifications

Thanks for this info! Used it to disable the persistent notification that waze pushes when it's running.

Help! I don?t understand how to activate webprotocol (everything else went fine). I went to the Google history website, but didn't see where or how to do it. Could you elaborate or send a screenshot? I searched Google, but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks!
