    Hey Guys,

Does anybody know if things changed with the newer OS leaks?

All was working well for me on 10.2.0.1047 on the STL100-1...able to play GTA3 and Magic 2014 but now, on .1761, I just get an error stating that the app has crashed.

I have confirmed that the folder "com.rockstar.gta3" that contains the .obb file is inside "device/misc/android/Android/obb". I have done nothing differently this time...

    Would really appreciate some help.

    Cheers

I'm not sure about gta 3 as I don't have it but vice city, Asphalt 8 and more games lately are having DRM locks on the apk, it's more difficult to take the apk and it doesn't seem to work once side-loaded even if you do get it off your Android.

I have the same issue with a game I bought from the Google Play. The game installs but cannot download the data.
So I grabbed the data online (sad considering that I paid the app...) and put it in device/misc/android/Android/obb/<folder-name>/data.obb

The app detects the data, check integrity and superbly crashes at the end.

    Frustrating

What game? You're not giving enough information.
Does it require Google play services?
Some apps simply won't work even with the obb data.

Sorry, I'm just realising how vague what I said is....

So, I bought Smallworld2, which is a great board game that I wanted to play from my phone.

When I install the game, I have a notification in the hub saying that it fails to download.

I haven't tried it. I suppose it would work but symbolic links are dissolved on reboot.
How do you make such link from the BlackBerry ?

I've never tried this one, so in this case the extra info doesn't help.

Does the obb data Match the apk version?
Usually sites that have links to obb also have the corresponding apk.
Make sure the version you download is the same as the apk you installed.
    Maybe that will help?
Just to be clear, you download the obb, it will be a folder. Place the whole folder on the device in /misc/android/Android/obb

This is case sensitive. If there is no folder named obb, create one.

If you have done all of this already and it's not working, try turning off wifi and your mobile network to launch the game.
You can then minimize and turn them.back on.
This is what I have to do to get injustice to work.

    Thanks for your advices.
I will try to find the one data on Internet and try your technic. We will then see.

Just for the record, I really have paid the app and installed it via snap so when I launch the app, as it doesn't download the obb file, then I cannot go further.

So, I managed to find the obb data and place it in the right folder.

The app check the integrity of data and crashes once finished.

Same behaviour with or without airplane mode.

I installed an app called g play services and another one called g play store.

Don't ask me about the integrity of the data, I have no idea where these ask are from.

Anyway, these two files plus the obb from the net and the game (that I paid!) is working on my BB10

    Thanks guys !

    The g stands for Google.
That was also the solution in the thread I sent you to. More or less.

Are you sure the obb data is matching the version of the app you installed ?

Have you installed the app via snap ?

    Some apps simply won't work.
If you've done everything right, and it's not working, it's one of those few apps that doesn't work.
