I finally got around to getting a pair of gloves you can use touch screens with and they don't seem to function properly with the z10 screen, but work perfectly with my sisters Iphone

It's usually a good idea to share the brand/model of something that you find isn't working with your device so that others don't make the same error. The iPhone screen uses a different tech for their screens than BlackBerry does, which may be the cause of your issue. Not all touchscreens are made the same, and what works on one may not work on the other.
