I was just thinking about this a few days ago. Does installing Root Explorer or some apk backup tool within Bluestacks sound about right?

I used blue stack. Then installed a device ID app. Then installed the chrome extension

Have you tried the Chrome Extension "apk downloader"? Works better than the blue stacks backup method bc some apps show as incompatible with whatever it detects your blue stacks 'device' as, so they won't let you install them to begin with. You do need a device ID (you can get one from your blue stacks emulator...using an app called 'Device ID' or something like that) in order to first log into the play store though.
