I tried to go back to 9.02 after getting kicked out last week when using 9.13 after I ignorantly upgraded the week prior. I ended up un-installing all versions in an attempt to start fresh, which seems to have been a mistake.

In trying to do so, I kept getting messages saying "There's a Newer Version Installed..." so I tried reinstalling newer versions all with the same message. despite Snapchat already having been uninstalled.

I tried to re-install 9.13 to uninstall it once again, but then I get a message saying, "Unable to Install this App."

I did both regular and Hard Restarts between installations and uninstallations. I know that we've been blocked from logging in for the foreseeable future, but is there a way to get rid of these messages? Are there some ghost installation files that trick the BlackBerry to thinking that Snapchat is installed (for old versions) and block the installation of the latest file?

Any one else experiencing this? Or something similar?

Are you installing patched versions? Try installing patched versions. Install 9.02 then 9.12 that I put up in post #327 and so on.
Before doing any install, restart the phone.

I am running OS version 10.3.2.2226, which version are you running?

I'm also running 10.3.2.2226 on my Z30... The first solution I tried was exactly that method which I saw posted by you earlier in the thread. When that didn't work is when I tried older versions. Have we determined whether it requires Cobalt's apps to run?

As time consuming as it gets, I did restarts before and after every attempt.

I figured out through Lucky Patcher that my device was still "finding" Snapchat somehow/somewhere. Since Lucky Patcher could "see" it, I performed an uninstall from there, then a hard restart and I was able to try to install Snapchat as normal... Still no log-in success so far though!

I have all the cobalt apps installed. I also installed the app through lucky patcher. Check my post #316 and instead of patching, use "install" if you downloaded it my patched versions of the app.

At a point you have to ask yourself (people who don't have it working) is all this effort really worth it?

I'm missing the Android Settings App from Cobalt. Last I checked on the Landing Page, the Dropbox link was dead due to too much traffic. Any way of getting the app?

Also, I tried installing your patched 9.2 through Lucky Patcher just now and logging in still didn't work.

I usually feel that way after I finally get it working. Too stubborn otherwise.

You're right, either you wait for a native app, or use a different device for snapchat, or dump blackberry itself (which I think I won't be able to do).

Not sure if we'll see any real results out of this, but Lou Gazzola was kind enough to reach out to some tweets and respond. Lou is an App developer and appears to work for BlackBerry, just needs to update his profile from saying he works at RIM. Hope they have a solution coming for us soon, today's front page CB news may be the answer of course. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Just use casper. I have been using it for months without an email from sc. I have previously been banned three times and just changed my password and it works again. At this stage unless you're using sc on another device you have nothing to lose.

I will probably get an email now that I've said that . Going off what they were saying about the 9.13 official update there was something in there that called home. Essentially if you had it working for a while or on another non BlackBerry device sc could see that you were sending snaps but 9.13 was calling home and they derived from that that you are using old version or third party. Perhaps I'm getting away with it because I haven't attempted to use any official versions.
