The lenses do work on some legendary devices below android 5.0 and right before the lenses update, I was able to do video call, so no.

Ok, i got snapchat 9.2 working again.
But offcourse if i will ever be logged out, i'm screwed.
Is there a way to make sure that i will be able login again, even after i'm logged out? Higher version?

I tried to update to Lucky Patcher-patched newest version, 9.20something, from 9.15. It gave an error that the device doesn't support required Google Play services (though I'm running Cobalt's latest Google Play services). I had to uninstall it and then tried installing 9.15 again. Of course, I was logged out. I tried installing the patched 9.2, 9.3, and 9.8 in order to log in, but in all cases I got a message that these are outdated and to try the newest one. With 9.15 I'm not able to login either, but there the message is that there's a problem connecting to the server (I tried unlocking the account on their website several times, in case it had gotten locked).
So what can I do now?

You must not have the right stuff loaded.

I'm running same BlackBerry OS and Google hangouts and just about everything is working. ie; Google maps, hangouts, Gtalk, etc
