Can anyone tell me what was the name of another app which did the same job of this snap app.
I forgot it's name and I want to try it out since snap is not letting me download a few of the apps fully, as the download stops in the middle.

There are apps that you cannot download from snap because some of them have obb files that have to be downloaded somewhere else.

Now that we have snap I am wondering if there is any reason to look at other sources such as 1mobile etc? Genuine question. The only gap I have found in snap so far (other than paid apps) is that some apps do not work and require play services.

Also as android compatibility grows I am also wondering if/when we will reach the point where the android version is better than the native one? Maybe we have examples already? There are still many apps that are available on both e.g. facebook but I'd bet the Android version is getting more developer attention.

I don't remember the names right now but out of 10 apps , around 6 got stuck in the middle while downloading. Like nova launcher for example.

SNAP downloads Nova Launcher for me.
Let me know what others you can't get. I would like to try, just to see if it works for me with SNAP.

If you encounter problems with Google Play Services you may want to try our automated script to fix this.

It's able to remove the following dependencies from an APK-file:

• Google Maps API V1 (use if maps look weird)
• Google Maps API V2 same as above
• Google Play Services (use if app tells you, that you Need Google Play Services)
• Google Advertising (removes Google ADS Folder, may crash on some apps)

I had ES Fle explorer installed before I installed Snap.
Why does ES Explorer opens with a black scree every time that I install an app with Snap ? Is this something related to ES Explorer? Would it open the regular file manager if I didn't have ES in my device? .... weird.

Swipe down for the top, tap on settings and log out.
Then log back in and you'll be good to go!

yes, two-step verification is it. You need to go into your Google account settings, and set an "application specific password"...

1. go to your Google search site and sign in
2. click your picture at top right and click "account"
3.Click "Security"
4.Under "Account Permissions", click "View All"
5.scroll down to bottom of page and click "Manage application-specific passwords"
...Or you could just turn off two-step verification like I did because its so annoying to have to set new pw's all the time, lol- jk :-)

Maybe the installer is just not working right for some reason.
Try going to (in File Manager) Device-Downloads (this is where SNAP downloads files by default). Tap the file.apk you want to install and see if it works.
If it doesn't work then reboot and try again.
