No, that won't work. You can get your phone's Device ID but not a Google Services Framework (GSF) ID, which is what you need.

That's an Android Device ID, not a GSF ID. You will be able to download certain 2.2 applications with it, but for anything more than that it won't work.

You have to enter the right Google Service Framework ID in Snap.

Dear members I have used my girlfriends GSF ID from her updated SGS3 and it works fine but am I affecting her eco system / apps at all? Apparently she has been getting strange notifications.

    Any idea?

Wifi analyzer, Fing, and speedtest are valuable app tools for network testing.

If Fing works normally that would be ultra keen. When I tried sideloading it onto earlier 10.2 releases most of its useful features were crippled.

Fing looks good. Working also with verizon FIOS app which is pretty big. Lync 2013 seems like it's working except I don't think the version is allowed by our admin.

Google Translate is a great app to demo as well. Works perfectly. And of course Google maps. No such luck with chrome yet though.

On that note. Does anyone else have trouble removing or deleting android apps you have installed? I have several that are zombified and return after rebooting my Z10.

Remove via the device monitor and app manager in settings.
    Settings
    App manager
    Device monitor
    Storage tab

Scroll to your app, select it. And then choose delete

Straight forward except for a small detour to get the network running within the VM. Works like a champ!

Quick question though. When using snapchat is says I need Google services to use. Isn't that why I went through this process? To get Google services.

Nooo... the Google Services Framework is not present on BB10, so any applications that require it will not work. You went through that process to be able to download current versions of applications (Android 4.2.2) instead of the obsolete 2.2. A lot of applications are only available on 4.2.2.

I don't know how, but I know for a fact others are running Snapchat. I think they might be running a pre-GSF version or somebody decompiled and removed any references to GSF. I have no idea.
