I think there might be a bug in Snap. I was able to download and install an application fine using my Device ID and gmail account, but for some reason in the Settings page YOUR email address shows instead of mine. I presume you just forgot to change that part from when you were testing.
Ditto here on the settings email. But, YAHOO! it is working.

Is there a way of checking the apk version available on the Google app store before downloading?

It'd be nice if it saved to a subfolder in Downloads instead, rather than filling my Downloads folder with random files.
Better yet, being able to specify the folder...on the media card.

No complaints though. This app is a breakthrough! Congrats JamesPaulMuir!

Precisely. Adding frills would just delay it.

    Another suggestion:
Long press an app in the search results list for a link to the apps page on Google play.

OK I confirmed that side loading android device ID works. I successfully used the device id from my Z10 and logged into SNAP.

ha! thanks for letting me know!! Yes it's just a development override the label only. It definitely does not affect any functionality. I'll push up a quick update but don't feel obligated to update if you don't mind seeing my gmail address.

I just tried this and am getting: "Your device do not have GSF / GTalk"

Are you using the "Android ID" and it's working in SNAP?

I logged into snap fine using the 16 key. I copied and pasted my Android ID from the Android ID app. I then tried downloading Instagram just now but it stalls at the download and the proximity sensor goes haywire.

Yes, the Android ID, not the GSF ID. It says my phone doesn't have one.

Stuck on "Preparing Download" means invalid Android Device ID. I'll put better error handling in the next update.

Haha , check out post #400...beat you to the punch. Great program, gives you all the information and if you click on the item, it gives you the option to copy...unfortunately, Snap doesn't allow pasting. On the other hand, I didn't get carpal tunnel from enter the 16 digits.

So wait -- does it want the DEVICE Id or the SERVICES Id?

I tried the device ID, copied from my tablet, and it froze. It's not case-sensitive is it?

It does allow pasting. But what if we've never logged into Google play but have a Google account(gmail)?
