You may know me from Flip Shush.

I built an app today that uses the api from Paul's blog to search the Google Play store and generate direct apk download links.

EDIT: Looks like we've overloaded the download API endpoint, which is causing an error. I'm researching the ability to use your own Google account and your own Android DeviceID (your BlackBerry android runtime has one!) to download APKs. Stay tuned!

Great work! Just what we need ;-)

Let me make it short:

• API overload error: confirmed. +1 for implementing use of GSF ID.
• Consider making a joint solution with Evozi - should be easy and not require any ID/Google Account.
• Download button not working:
  • Confirmed om my Z10 STL 100-2 10.2.1.1055 with SIM from Telenor Denmark
  • Working (browser opens) on Z30 STA100-2 10.2.1.1055 - No SIM.
• If you perform a search right after opening Snap, the spinning wheel does not show until after 1-2 seconds. This makes the UI seem unresponsive. Second search shows the spinning wheel right away.
• Consider making the app search automatically when typing - just like Google does.
• Encoding for non-standard characters is broke in both the result list and the next page where the download can be started. Example:

copy all the text and put it as the link itself, that way people have to read to find the download. problem solved. hope you get things sorted. I demoed it at target today, the phone guys were all, Cooool Blackberry 10 has the best of both worlds and then we all agreed this is what should have been the ecosystem at launch. Keep up the good work man.

Please read the OP FULLY...this is a known issue and is being worked on.

It takes less time to read the OP than it does to post an issue...read and you may find the answers...
