Can there be a "Download & update all" button when checking for updates under My Apps?

In my experience, the runtime in the last few leaks supports more apps than in the past but at the cost of slower performance. For instance, MyFitnessPal is brutally slow - the phone after asks if I want to "wait" or "force close" because it isn't responding.

I get that from time to time with FB and Pinterest, among others.

I have issues where the app icon doesn't match the app label. Thought it was an isolated incident though. Are you guys noticing this behaviour as well?
I'm not doing a ton of new Android app installs with Snap these days but I did have that issue on one app and assumed it was just an oversight by the developer, ie forgetting to populate some package identifier correctly. (The app in question is AquaMail)

Perhaps it's one of those things like the accounts/app permissions thing where you hit some sort of unknown limit in the OS after a certain amount of installed apps and it starts doing something weird.

Does anyone notice the performance of their BB becomes sluggish after installing android apps? I like having access to them but not if the overall performance of the device is slower.

This is a universal issue with Android apps. Depending on which ones, of course.

They tend to use more resources to run that a native app with the same functionality, they do not give you selective control over permissions, Android apps are commonly the source of malware and spyware, and because there is little control over background processes, they can be resource-hogs and drain your battery a lot.

So only install from trusted sources (Snap is good for that - be very cautious about 3rd-party app stores), pay attention to the reviews on apps, install a good Android anti-malware tool, and use the Device Monitor feature in BB10 v10.2.1.xxxx to track the resource-hogs. (ie if you have troubles with overheating, low battery-life, or overall slowing-down of the device.)

Also an Android task-killer can come in handy if you need to kill a rogue Android app. There's a free one in BlackBerry World called "TaskManager" by amitghosh. (Who ported an Android tool by Hans-Peter Lehmann)

Works well enough and free, no advertising.

Is development mode on? This forces you to input a password so I'm guessing you missed that step

The Internet disconnection is definitely a cause for download interruption.

I've tried searching, but nothing useful comes up. I'm doing the search using CB10, not sure if that matters.

CB10's search feature isn't very good.

Here are a few hits (out of many) for that search term in this thread. Bear in mind these links have anchor tags to direct the browser to scroll to center the particular post in question, but CB10 does NOT support those type of URLs (it will just take you to the beginning of the thread or page) so you will have to load them in a regular browser to see which post it refers to:

It's not possible through snap but you can buy it from play.google.com. Once you purchase the app there you can download it in snap.

Have you successfully installed any apps via Snap? For some apps, it doesn't matter if they are free or paid, they just don't work: there may be a required check back with Play Store, there may be obb files that Snap can't download, or it may be that the android runtime simply isn't complete enough for a particular app to function.

Snap is a very good app but it isn't magic. Some apps just won't work and it isn't the fault of Snap.

Perhaps search these forums for the specific app and see if anyone else reported success/failure. Or post the name of this particular one and someone may be willing to try it.

Which app are you trying? There is a patch tool that can remove Google dependencies from some apps. Worth trying.
