Not all realtors charge buyers additional fees as yours did. Next time remember that everything in a real estate transaction is negotiable. Ask and you may be surprised, I have given many a buyer a part of my commission to help them close. I just did it with one of my sellers to make the deal happen.

Just installed Ekey on my Z10 with 10.2.1.537 software release. Most everything on the menus is functional except flashlight and few other items I can live without. However when trying to release the shackle or retrieve a key I receive the following message "Failed to bond with the Bluetooth device. Error #9A1A". I also got a new activation code from my MLS provider(I assume my BB Bold 9700 plus fob combo will no longer work). Any help is appreciated.

I played around a bit more and discovered that I must pair the ibox and the z10(Bluetooth) each time I use the Ekey program. I'm now thinking that there must be a limit on the number of Z10 pairings. Whwn paired it works fine.

Thank goodness for CrackBerry forums to get the quick and easy answers. I have been waiting to get my eKey back and now I have the app on my phone and tomorrow I'll go turn in the Supra key and get my new fob.

Pairing was the same in OS 7 - each time you pair you have to delete the paired box before performing another opening. Guess that is the way Supra wrote the program.

I've been out of town as the new BB10 OS rolled out and will jump onto 10.2.1.xxxx so I can install and try eKey finally.

Well got tired of waiting for VZW to push out OS so I upgraded using Sachesi and Snap - worked flawlessly!

Got eKey from Google Play and seems OK, but sometimes I have to try to open a lockbox several times.

Seems the Bluetooth isn't as reliable?

    orleans1,

I reread some of the post and it does seem that pairing first (even though it's automatic) and then using the Open seems to be a more consistent way to go.

BTW... flashlight is in BB10 Setting anyway...

EKEY isn't very reliable from my experience, so I'm relying on my 9930 as a backup.

Ekey wasn't very popular here. Most likely the costs associated with it and found that they were unreliable at the time we tried it. Wonder if that changed

EKEY was solid on my 9930 and earlier Bold for years. My iPhone associates say the same. Much better than carrying the Activekey.

APK on my Z30 not so much

The APP does not work on the Z30 ? Many realtors love it since the new 10.2.1 OS.

I OS closed architecture drives me nuts on my wife's iPhone. My experience with Android has been negative.

Honestly, the vast majority of Realtors are brainwashed by NAR and technology speakers to follow the herd.

I run eKey from Snap and while not perfect, it suits the need.

    Sigh

Hi can you still use ekey even if our Ottawa real estate board does not support BlackBerry. My realtor buddies are saying even if my Z3O downloads the app successfully from 1 Mobile App store that will not work because you require support by the Ottawa realty board who issues you a ekey.
But I say if you inform the board you have the Key should this be sufficient !

You do have to have a license through your association from Supra. They don't need to know that it's not being used on an Android.

Of course it is possible that Supra could throw a monkey wrench into the situation, but I don't see why they would.

I actually used my old 9930 without wireless service and simply updated manually.

Hello my name is Gus and I am a realtor on BlackBerry.

Though many have tried to get me off this amazing phone none have been able to succeed.

I am a crackberry addict and I am proud of it.

When I show my Realtor friends the email capabilities I have with this phone they have this dumb look on their faces, I can't do that on my iPhone.

I have started an email chosen to attach a word document from my desktop, then edit the document on my phone and send the email within a minute or two. Can you say dear in the headlights.

Average agents are clueless and follow the herd and national organizations and trainers take the easy path... Fad logic, not technical logic.

    BlackBerry is the better mousetrap!
